Regular Events
Penwith Peace Group Monthly Open Meetings - Penzance 
These are held between 10.30 am and 12 noon on the first Saturday of the month in Penzance. We will meet in the Asterisk* Room, Hypatia Trust, Trevelyan House, 16 Chapel Street, Penzance.
Listed below are the dates for 2010, but please check the Latest News page or email us on uk@peacefoundation.org.uk in case of any changes. The meetings consist of meditation and discussion, with the main focus upon cultivating peace within, and radiating it out into the wider world.
We aim to create an environment in which people feel they can be listened to with respect, and without being judged. We encourage a light-hearted approach, which helps to bring about a deeper sense of enjoyment and peace. We also welcome people’s ideas; our aim is to allow the meetings to flow and grow organically.

We suggest a minimum donation of £3, but you are welcome to give more if you can. All surpluses go to charities or organisations who are helping to resolve conflict in the world. However, we recognise that some people are living on exceptionally low incomes. While recognising that we have costs to cover, and that there needs to be some exchange of energy, we wish to include everyone who is committed to cultivating peace. We are therefore open to negotiate sensitively other kinds of contribution if money is a real problem. Please email us on uk@peacefoundation.org.uk if you wish to discuss this issue.
Monthly Peace Vigil 
The dates and times of these are currently under review. For the time being, we suggest holding the vigil between 7 and 8 pm on the 15th of each month, but please feel free to change the times and/or dates to suit.
The vigil is intended as a time of deep silence, with each person focusing upon cultivating and radiating peace, with particular reference to the Foundation’s Peace Mantra. The vigil and the local group Open Meetings form the very core of the Foundation’s mission.
